GIRL DROWNS OFF MANDAUE LAKE

A 7-YEAR-OLD girl drowned while swimming with friends in a lake in barangay Upper Tabok, Mandaue City, on Monday.

Chrislee Yocte was declared dead when she was rushed to the Mandaue District Hospital.

In a follow-up operation, police found the car abandoned in Aldea Subdivision in barangay Bangkal.

Residents told police that the car was owned by a Korean.

MAN SHOT IN DRINKING  SPREE

A 50-YEAR-OLD man was shot and wounded while drinking with his two cousins in barangay Gun-ob, Lapu-Lapu City, at dawn yesterday.

Danilo Patalinhug sustained three gunshot wounds in the body.

Police said the assailants fired at Patalinhug, who were drinking with Alberto Pagobo and Ricky Ybañez around 1 a.m.

Police said the assailants were identified as Marvin Dignos, Cocoy Tumulak and Clikly Tumulak, who fled after the shooting.

BURGLARY SUSPECT NABBED

A 26-YEAR-OLD old man was arrested for allegedly burglarizing a house in barangay Linao, Talisay City, southern Cebu last Monday dawn.

Police said Rex Canoneo and his two unidentified cohorts were about to load appliances into a multicab when tanods spotted them.
