2 popular bands help raise relief funds
TWO popular bands were in Cebu on Friday to stage a concert to raise funds for victims of supertyphoon Yolanda victims and the Bohol earthquake.
Side A and Freestyle with other guests performed for free at J Centre Mall in Mandaue City. Concert goers to #Barug Bisaya paid P400 each.
Quota International of South Cebu president Christi Lepradez said all concert proceeds would fund rehabilitation efforts in calamity-hit areas.
The idea of a concert for a cause came up after the organization conducted relief operations in Ormoc City, Leyte three days after the typhoon struck.
The mall venue was offered for free while the bands waived their usual talent fees for the worthy cause.
Lepradez said they were moved by the sight of people crying for help and asking them not to leave.
