Radio station to launch singing contest; auditions ongoing

THE RPN 9 DyKC radio station will launch the Cebu leg of its Boses Tinig Pinoy on Jan. 17 at the J Centre Mall in Mandaue City after reaching a deal with the mall.

RPN officials led by RPN president and chief executive officer Robert Rivera will grace the occasion.

Rivera is the brains behind this nationwide search for the best in a cappella, duet or trio.

RPN dares to be different with Boses Tinig Pinoy since this is the first ever nationwide singing contest on radio.

With Boses Tinig Pinoy, Rivera aims to go back to the glory days when RPN was the leading network.

Celebrity roadshow hosts Aileen Papin, sister of Imelda Papin, and Anthony Castelo will also grace the event.

Winners of the search will get over P1 million in prizes, a recording career and a talent contract with RPN 9.

Rivera is inviting the students and out-of-school youth, aged 15 and above, who are members of a campus choir or a church choir to join the search.

Auditions are held daily in all provincial stations nationwide.

In Cebu, the auditions will be held at RPN DYKC radio station in Maguikay, Mandaue City.

Rivera’s Boses Tinig Pinoy project gains support from Nora Aunor, who started her singing career with RPN and made it her home for 20 years, and German “Kuya Germs” Moreno, who is now the Master Showman of another TV network.
