Relief packs sent to Bantayan Island

Another 5,500 packs will be delivered to northern Cebu.

The Ramon Aboitiz Foundation Inc. (RAFI) distributed 3,000 relief packs in the towns of Bantayan, Sta. Fe and Madridejos in Bantayan Island last Sunday.

Another 6,000 relief packs were distributed in the towns of Daanbantayan, San Remigio and Medellin last Tuesday.

The foundation will also deliver 5,500 relief packs to other towns in northern Cebu, including Camotes Island, that were also affected by supertyphoon Yolanda, once they have finished repacking the goods.

The repacking started yesterday and will continue until Saturday.

Each pack contains four kilos of rice, one kilo of sugar, one-half kilo salt, four packs of noodles, milk, bath soap, shampoo, toothbrush, toothpaste, canned goods and bottled water.

The foundation is also hiring volunteers to help load and unload relief items from the RAFI cargo truck.
