PRE-HALLOWEEN RUN
AN agreement was signed for the pre-Halloween event, Spooktacular Run at the Marco Polo Plaza Hotel on Aug. 23.
The signatories were Russia’s Honorary Consul in Cebu Armi Garcia of Sweet Alert Society Inc., Cosette Fernandez of Sun.Star and Ramon Isberto, head of PLDT Media and Smart Public Affairs Group.
The event will be on Oct. 28, a Friday prior to Holloween to give families and friends an early kick-off celebration for the annual freak-o-holiday.
The run has three categories: 3-k, 6-k and 10-k. There will also be a 1.5-k race for children. Participants can have fun in the grounds of SM City Cebu, which is the starting and finishing point of the run. Part of the treats prepared in SM City Cebu is the overall theme of zombies and plants based on the popular computer game, Plants vs Zombies.
Characters from Adam’s Family, witches, ghouls and other Halloween characters will be seen in the venue. Participants are encouraged to wear Halloween costumes.
There will also be mini events like the Mad Dash contest and activities from Sweet Alert Inc. to help educate the public on diabetes.

A SEMINAR workshop on “Effective Internet Marketing Strategies for Business” will be held on Sept. 3 at the CebuInIT Training Lab of University of the Philippines – Cebu campus.
