‘Mina’ death toll up to 29—NDRRMC
MANILA, Philippines – The death toll resulting from Typhoon “Mina” (International codename: Nanmadol) rose to 29 Thursday, a 990AM report said.
Quoting National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council Executive Director Benito Ramos, the report identified the latest fatalities Reydan Solina, 25, who was suffocated in a landslide in Barangay (village) Maliclico, Sudipen town, La Union; Marilyn Binay-an, 45, who was killed after being hit by an uprooted Pine tree in Philex Mines, Tuba town, Benguet; and Roberto Agaming, 62, who drowned in San Ramon village in Manabo town, Abra. The number of injured persons has likewise increased to 37.
The report added that the Philippine Coast Guard’s search and rescue efforts continued for five missing persons.
