Stallions improve to 9-2

FRANCO Angelo Cipriano fired 21 points and hauled down 18 rebounds to lead the streaking Lexmark Stallions to an 85-71 win over the Wipro Wildcats last Sunday in the 2011 Powerade E-League for Basketball at the City Sports Club-Cebu Gym.

The prolific Cipriano also had five assists and three blocked shots as the Stallions logged their ninth win in 11 games to join the Stream Blue Devils at second place.

Ellery Ariate and Igor Villaluz backed Cipriano with 10 markers each.

Dandy Pestaño scored 20 points, while Arnold Kristian Fonacier and Reinario Salibay had 10 each for the Wildcats, who dropped to 3-7 (win-loss).

On the other hand, the Aegis People Support (APS) Vipers and the Xlibris Publishers both improved to 6-4 after beating separate rivals.

The Vipers downed Opinionology, 73-61, while the Publishers subdued the Qualfon Knights, 59-54.
