UA&P opens School of Law & Governance

THE University of Asia and the Pacific (UA&P) has converted its Institute of Political Economy into a School of Law and Governance.

This was announced by Dr. Jose Maria Mariano, President of UA&P.

The new school will assume oversight over existing UA&P courses leading to Bachelors and Masters degrees in Political Economy. Starting June 2014, it will begin offering a Juris Doctor (JD) or law program following a straight 7-year track for high school graduates, and a four-year track for college graduates.

According to Dr. Mariano, the 7-year JD program is the latest among UA&P’s educational innovations.

Competitive exams for admission into UA&P’s Juris Doctor program are scheduled on Dec. 7, from 1 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., and on Feb. 22 still from 1 p.m. to 5:30 p.m, in Ortigas, Pasig City, and in the cities of Cebu and Davao.
