Cebu to have rains today; new typhoon enters PH
ONE typhoon left the country but another typhoon will arrive this morning.
The Mactan office of the state weather bureau Pagasa said typhoon “Tino” (international name Wipha) was spotted moving at 1,300 km east of northern Luzon at 5 p.m. yesterday.
It is the 20th typhoon to hit the country after typhoon Santi (international name Nari), said Pagasa Mactan weather specialist Netherlen Taletro.
Santi was seen yesterday at 550 km off Iba, Zambales and is heading for Vietnam.
Tino has sustained winds of 150 kilometer per hour (kph) and gustiness of 185 kph.
According to accuweather.com, Cebu will experience cloudy weather with rain at 11 a.m. and probable rain showers at 5 p.m. today.
