Woman in Lapu stabbed dead

A 22-YEAR-OLD woman was stabbed dead while she was about to take a bath at a well outside her house in barangay Looc, Lapu-Lapu City.

Stella Marie Tumulak bore stab wounds in the neck and back when she was found by her aunt slumped on the ground at 4:30 a.m. yesterday.

Police are searching for the victim’s live-in partner to help shed light on the incident.

PO3 Lydo Pinos, homicide investigator, said the victim’s live-in partner had not gone home since the incident.

Police are withholding the name of the victim’s live-in partner pending further investigation to determine if he was involved in the killing.

Police said the couple had been fighting over jealousy prior to the woman’s death.

Grace Tumulak, the victim’s aunt, told police that she heard her niece shout for help and later found her bloodied.

Grace said she did not see anyone when she ran to her niece’s aid.

The victim was brought to the Lapu-Lapu City Hospital where she was declared dead by the attending physician./CORRESPONDENT NORMAN V. MENDOZA
