Floods subside in parts of Metro Manila; traffic still heavy

MANILA, Philippines — Floodwaters brought by the sudden heavy downpour in parts of Metro Manila have already subsided, but traffic remained heavy in portions of EDSA, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority said.

MMDA Metrobase said that as of posting time, waist-deep floodwaters recorded at Araneta Victory around 8:40 p.m., have not yet subsided.

However, waters in all other areas that were earlier affected by flooding have already subsided.

Meanwhile, the flow of traffic in portions of EDSA remained heavy.
