Parsons dating KC

/ 08:25 AM October 10, 2013

HOUSTON Rockets do-it-all forward Chandler Parsons is enjoying not just playing basketball here in the Philippines but also the company of inarguably, one of the country’s most recognized faces in showbiz, KC Concepcion.

The 6-foot-9, third year forward, admitted to taking out the actress and commercial model out to dinner the other night, a few months after striking a friendship over Twitter.

“We had dinner last night. We had a mutual friend who put us in contact and hopefully, we can do some work together in the future,” narrated Parsons, who was the team’s second-leading scorer last season. “She’s a great girl and I had a good time last night.”

The focus though, for Parsons remained on basketball, as the Rockets took their training to another level yesterday after suffering from jetlag last Tuesday.

“Today was much better. We ran in-game situations. We ran our defensive coverages. We went live, it wasn’t a walkthrough. It was definitely an intense practice and we got better today,” Parsons said.

After averaging 15.5 points, 5.3 rebounds and 3.5 assists last year, Parsons continued to fly under the radar but insisted that he wouldn’t want it any other way.

“It’s kind of been my path my whole career. I’ve been flying under the radar and I never really got all the accolades growing up. I use that as motivation moving forward in my career. We have superstars and we have all these high-caliber players so I don’t need all that attention. I’ll just come in everyday and do whatever it takes to win.” /Correspondent Jonas Panerio
