2 armed men rob Quezon City fastfood outlet
MANILA, Philippines—Two armed men robbed a fastfood outlet in Quezon City Thursday night and made off with the store’s earnings and some valuables of its employees, according to the police.
Police said the Chowking branch at the corner of Quezon and Roces avenues lost a still undetermined amount of cash while its employees were robbed of money and cell phones.
Case investigator Police Officer 2 Myron Forosan said one of the assailants announced the heist while the other acted as a lookout.
Anna Cubacub, branch assistant manager, told police that the robbers took P1,200 in cash and two mobile phones worth P13,000 belonging to store manager Mary Anne Buna.
Witnesses said one of the suspects barged into the manager’s office, poking a gun at the fastfood crew, while the other man watched outside.
While inside the manager’s office, the robber ordered the shutdown of the closed circuit television camera and told Cubacub to open the store vault.
