Mall bares activities for Pink October

SM malls in Cebu City and Consolacion town in northern Cebu will hold a series of activities this Pink Month, also Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

For the whole month of October, SM City Cebu will convert its clinic into a Pink Room on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., and will offer free breast check-ups and breast ultrasound. The free ultrasound will only be given to those who have themselves examined in the Pink Room with a doctor’s endorsement. Licensed nutritionists from Prosure-Roche will also provide diet counseling.

A free breast examination and consultation is slated on Oct. 23, from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., at SM Consolacion’s conference room.

A sing-along with Abby Asistio will happen on Oct. 2 at 6 p.m. at the Northwing Atrium of SM City Cebu. Abby Asistio released her self-titled debut album in March 2012. She released her first single “Tagpuan” last year and will be releasing her carrier single “When I’m With You.”

Every Monday and Wednesday at 7:30 p.m., a Pink Zumba will be held at SM Consolacion’s Event Centre and Pink Aerodance Weekend Party every Saturday at 8 p.m. at the Cinema lobby.

A session on breast cancer awareness will also be held on Oct. 9 at 1:30 p.m. at the conference room in SM City Consolacion.

Children with cancer under the care of Kythe Foundation will enjoy a day of fun-filled activities at the Event Center of SM City Cebu on Oct. 26.

A Mass for breast cancer patients and survivors will be offered on Oct. 27 at 9 a.m. at the Northwing Atrium in SM City Cebu.
