Tabal, Dueñas collar top plums in 21k Bohol-Sandugo Half Marathon
CEBU’S PRIDE Mary Joy Tabal logged her fifth 21-kilometer win by topping the 2nd Bohol-Sandugo Panglao Half marathon yesterday in Panglao Island, Bohol.
What made the victory sweeter was the fact that long-time trainer and partner John Philip Dueñas also won the men’s side of the 21k race.
Tabal, from the Southwestern University (SWU), clocked 1 hour and 26 minutes while Duenas finished in 1:12:51.
Tabal, who is fresh off a 42-kilometer victory in the recent Race To Reduce of the Aboitiz Equity Ventures in Mandaue City earlier this month, bagged P7,000 and gift certificates from the Bohol Beach Club.
University of Southern Philippines-Foundation’s (USP-F) Joeyry Lee finished second followed by Lheslen Abella.
Sherwin Managuil claimed the second spot in the 21k men’s race with followed by Alvirg Busa of Naga City.
