UV, USC dispute Passerelle title

THE DEFENDING champions University of the Visayas (UV) will tangle with the University of San Carlos (USC) for the Passerelle crown after hurdling their semifinal opponents in the 2013 Milo-backed BEST Center Twin Tournament.

UV bested the Don Bosco Technology Center (DBTC), 54-30, in the game that was held at the Don Bosco gym in Labangon, while USC beat Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu (SHS-AdC), 58-48 at USC North Campus gym along Mango Avenue.

UV leaned on a fast start as they took a 21-10 lead after the opening canto behind the 15 points of Theo Flores.

In the other semifinal match-up, both USC took a 13-5 lead after one period then increased it to 28-16 with Clint Octaviano leading the charge with 10 points. SHS-AdC fought back but failed as Octaviano led USC with 10 points. /Correspondent Jonas Panerio
