THE BOYS TEAM of the University of Southern Philippines Foundation (USPF) continued on its climb back to the throne as it logged its second win in a row with a straight sets spanking of Don Bosco in the 2013 Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation Inc. volleyball tournament last Monday evening at the University of San Carlos gym.

A long-time champion of this competition before being usurped by the University of San Jose-Recoletos (USJ-R) last year, USPF kept on its pursuit of the crown with a 25-20, 25-15 victory over Don Bosco.

The win kept USPF tied for the lead with rivals USJ-R with identical win-loss records of 2-0.

In the men’s division, the University of Cebu Webmasters spoiled the debut of the Cebu Doctor’s University as they handed the Stallions a 28-26, 25-11, 25-13 drubbing.

The win by UC was a nice bounceback from its opening game loss to Southwestern University. /Correspondent Jonas Panerio
