6-hour fire hits mall in Puerto Princesa City
PUERTO PRINCESA CITY, Philippines—A six-hour fire of still undetermined origin struck the NCCC Mall in this city late Monday night, destroying the topmost floor of the building that served as the department store’s main storage area.
Senior Fire Officer Rico Pagmanoja, officer in charge of the city fire department, said the blaze began at 10:30 p.m. and lasted for about six hours before it was declared under control.
No one was reported hurt.
The authorities were still investigating the cause of the fire.
