School heads in Cebu undergo leadership training workshop

SEVENTY school heads from the province of Cebu underwent a Kool Adventure Camp (KAC) leadership training workshop last month.

The participants joined in activities that developed collaboration, critical thinking, effective communication and consensus building.

The workshop is part of the training component for teachers under the Educational Quality Improvement of Community Empowerment and Capacity Building (EQUIP Cebu) of Ramon Aboitiz Foundation Inc.

The trainings are geared towards improving the leadership qualities of the participants.

“We wanted to bring the teachers outside their usual classroom setting, hopefully, for them to see and learn from another perspective and be able to think outside the box,” said Tanya Amanda Flores, program officer of EQUIP Cebu.

The workshop was attended by school heads from Carcar City and the municipalities of Asturias and Liloan.
