Green retail agenda tackles climate change

SM City Cebu hosted the Green Retail Agenda attended by mall tenants, affiliates, security and maintenance personnel at the Event Centre held last Aug. 23.

The Green Retail Agenda 2013 was focused on business continuity amidst climate change with speakers from the city government and the Department of Environment and Natural Resources.

Resource speakers were Cebu City councilors Nida Cabrera and Nestor Archival and Jose Cleo Colis from the DENR.

Topics were: effects of climate change, building resilience and awareness of natural disasters and climate change, and programs for the improvement capabilities to cope with natural disasters and climate change impacts.

Councilors Cabrera and Archival thanked SM City Cebu for pioneering the Green Retail Agenda to give awareness about the current environmental issues.
