The run was dedicated to the memory of the late Ramon Igaña Jr., who died of acute pulmonary embolism while participating in last year’s relay category of the Cobra Ironman 70.3 Philippines. Igaña’s wife, Humility, spearheaded the staging of the race together with veteran race director Joel Baring of the Sports and Fitness Enthusiasts.

The proceeds of this event will be used to sponsor a deserving less-fortunate triathlete.
