(Cesafi) basketball tournament today at the Cebu Coliseum.
Article continues after this advertisementThe Green Lancers started the new season right, beating the University of Cebu (UC) Webmasters, 81-62, during the league’s opening last Saturday.
They look to build on that win today and gain some momentum heading to their much-anticipated showdown with bitter rivals Southwestern University (SWU) next weekend.
Standing in their way are the Jaguars, a team that also debuted in style after defeating the Cebu Institute of Technology-University (CIT–U) Wildcats, 79-66, last Tuesday.
Today’s game presents an interesting match-up between the guards of both squads as UV’s preeminent court general, Partner’s Cup MVP John Abad, takes on USJ-R’s latest star, rookie sensation Rendell Senining.
