FARMER STABBED BY CO-WORKER

A 33-YEAR-OLD farm caretaker was stabbed dead by his co-worker after they argued in Barangay Biga, Toledo City.

Police identified the fatality as Renante Belandres.

The suspect, Richard Amaro, surrendered to the police after the incident.

Police said Belandres was drunk when he and Amaro argued Tuesday night. The argument had something to do with their work.

While arguing, Amaro hit Renante in the head with an iron bar then took the bolo that the victim was carrying and stabbed him in the abdomen.

MAN SLASHES WRIST

A 22-YEAR-OLD man tried to commit suicide by slashing his wrist inside his house in barangay Paknaan, Mandaue City on Tuesday afternoon.

Police said depression may have drove the man to try to kill himself.

Police said the man was blooded when he was found by his sister in his room.

The man is already in a stable condition at the Mandaue District Hospital where he was brought by paramedics from the Emergency Rescue Unit Foundation./REPORTER JUCELL AMRIE P. CUYOS
