10 Cebu spots in DVD out soon

A DVD containing videos of top 10 major destinations in Cebu will be submitted to the Department of Tourism in two weeks time.

The videos will be used by tour guides and tourists coming to Cebu City for a vacation or a visit, said Consul of Latvia Robert “Bobby” Joseph during yesterday’s 888 forum.

Joseph, who started the project, said the videos will be translated into different languages so that the tourists could understand our culture.

The Cebu City Historiacal Affairs Commission will also help them to organize the script which will show the individual stories behind the featured destinations.

“It is needed for the Historical Commission to help us for the script so that the story will be historically correct,” Joseph said.

They will also invite the different embassies in the translation to different languages so that they can include it in their presentation at the DOT.

The 10 destinations presented yesterday were the Sto. Niño Basilica, CICC, two Mactan Bridges, Mango Industry, Taoist Temple, Fort San Pedro, Museo Sugbo, Parian and Liberty Shrines, Yap-Sandiego Ancestral House, and the Metropolitan Cathedral./Correspondent Michelle L. Padayhag
