ROBBERIES ALARM POLICE

THE number of robbery incidents involving Korean victims has reached an alarming level.

“Uy alarming naman diay (This is alarming already),” said Chief Insp. Aileen Recla when informed by personnel of the Investigation and Detective Management Branch (ADMB) of the Cebu City Police Office (CCPO) that 15 robberies where Koreans were the victims have been recorded in the last three months.

Coming up with crime-preventing measures  will be discussed in next’s week command conference, said Recla.

The recent robbery incident involving Koreans happened Tuesday night in barangay Mabolo.

Choi Soon Shul, 22, and Heo Yekang, 27, were shot and wounded after they fought off four motorcycle robbers who grabbed the shoulder bag of their Korean companion Anna Ho, 26.

The three Koreans were walking along F. Gochan Street when the robbers arrived and grabbed Anna’s bag.

Choi and Heo intervened prompting the robbers to shoot them.

MAN CHARGED with RAPE

A CHARGE for rape was filed against a man accused of molesting a three-year-old girl in barangay Guizo, Mandaue City.

The charge against Nelson Ouano, 47, was filed with the Mandaue City Prosecutors’ Office Thursday morning.
