Talisay now wants dialogue with Cebu

The Legal Officer of Talisay City has sent a letter to Mayor Michael Rama, this time offering to dialogue on the contested portions of the South Road Properties (SRP).

Last week, Sipalay, issued a Cease and Desist Order (CDO) against Cebu City projects in portions of the SRP that is claimed by Talisay City to be part of its territorial jurisdiction.

“Mayor Johnny V. Delos Reyes said that he is even willing to sit down with Mike Rama with this matter. If it’s possible, we will also be present together with Cebu City’s legal attorney,” Sipalay said.

He admitted that their CDO was ignored by the Cebu City government. “Not even a telephone call from them. We only learned of their response from the media,” Sipalay said./Correspondent Christine Emily L. Pantaleon
