Brit arrested for threats, car theft in Angeles City
ANGELES CITY—Police on Tuesday arrested a Briton accused of threatening to kill a hotel owner here and of stealing a car in Baguio City.
Police said Steven John West, 33, temporarily staying at Just My Luck Hotel here, was arrested based on a warrant issued by Judge Ireneo Pangilinan of the Municipal Trial Court.
Chief Insp. Luisito Tan, chief of the city police Station 4, said the warrant was related to a complaint filed by Guy Allen Breckenridge, owner of Pacific Breeze Hotel in Barangay Balibago here, against West on May 23.
In his complaint, Breckenridge said West threatened to kill him after he confronted him about complaints by some hotel guests that he was going around knocking and opening the doors of the hotel’s rooms.
On Thursday, Nicholo Antonio Perlas, night manager of Red Lion Pub and Inn in Baguio City, went to the police station here and identified West as the one who took his Honda Civic while it was parked in front of the restaurant on Monday.
Perlas said West, a frequent customer of the family-owned Red Lion, grabbed his car key from the counter and drove his car. Jun Malig, Inquirer Central Luzon
