800 participants sign up for STC’s Run with Venus
AROUND 800 runners have already enlisted for the first-ever Run with Venus of the Saint Theresa’s College (STC) High School Batch ’89.
The race is scheduled this Sunday starting and ending at the Terraces of the Ayala Center Cebu.
The running event aims to raise funds for the Batch 89’s outreach programs, including sponsorship of underprivileged Special Education students of the Bahay Kalinga, in cooperation with the Champ Therapy Center. The running event is also part of the batch’s silver jubilee homecoming activity next year.
The running event was officially launched yesterday at the Kublai Khan Restaurant in Ayala Center Cebu. Present during the launching were STC Batch ’89’s Raycia Enllaran, Cayenne Ong, Concon Kintanar Selma, Tisha Salgudo and race director Joel Baring of the Sports and Fitness Enthusiasts (SAFE).
The race will offer 21-kilometer, 12k, 6k and 3k distances. There will also be free health screening for participants and a Zumba session before the race.
Registration is still ongoing with the 21k fee pegged at P750, P450 for the 12k, P350 for the 6k and 3k. Registration can be done at RUNNR Ayala Center Cebu. /CORRESPONDENT DALE G. ROSAL
