Solicitor General Jardeleza to speak on PH claim to the Spratlys

SOLICITOR General Francis Jardeleza will deliver a lecture on “The Philippines’ Claim to the Spratlys” at the audio-visual room 2 of the University of Cebu Banilad campus today from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Organized by the University of Cebu College of Law, the activity will tackle issues surrounding the claims of the Philippine government on the Spratlys and the legal measures undertaken in asserting its right under International Law.

It will be participated in by law and political science students, professors and legal professionals.

The panel reactors include lawyer Elaine Bathan, president, Integrated Bar of the Philippines, Cebu City Chapter; lawyer Ria Lidia Espina, director, IBP Cebu Province Chapter; Zenaida Ligan, Univeristy of the Philipines Cebu Political Science Professor; Brian Magalong, Associate of Azeus Systems Philippines Ltd.; and James Uaminal, UP Political Science student.
