Dissenters survive Idols
THE DISSENTERS escaped the heavily favored Super Idols in their first meeting, 59-56, in the Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP) Cebu Basketball League held at the Capitol Parish Gymnasium last week.
The Dissenters were led by Kern Sesante, who finished with 23 points. Gio Susuco contributed 12 points for the team’s first win.
In another game, the Pecandelas defeated the Pañeros, 52-43. Tommy and Ferdinand Pepito both had 16 points for the winning team.
The Eagles also took advantage of the undermanned Primos, 72-50. Marvin Miralles and Al Lagahit led the team with 16 and 13 points, respectively.
The Young Lawyers Association of Cebu (YLAC) bowed to Lex Titanz, 61-67, despite the sterling performance of Van Ligutan, who scored 17 points. The Titanz were headed by Richard Banzon, who scored 10.
