Balibag’s body was found in a room at Lykas Hotel on Imperial Street in Cubao, after a staffer was sent to check on him when he failed to respond to phone calls informing him that it was check-out time.

PO2 Alvin Quisumbing of the Quezon City Police District’s Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit said that based on hotel records, the victim checked in at 9 p.m., followed shortly by a woman who left at 11 p.m. Jeannette I. Andrade
