Man caught stealing computer monitor

A MAN was accused of stealing a computer monitor from an Internet shop in barangay Cabancalan, Mandaue City.

Eric Jhon Royo, 28, tried to escape but bystanders cornered him and turned him over to the police.

Police said dried marijuana leaves was recovered from the man’s possession.

Police said Royo posed as a customer when he went to Micasan Internet Cafe on M. L. Quezon Street last Thursday afternoon.

Sheila Mae Salinas, the shop’s attendant, said while she was attending to other customers, Royo placed the computer monitor in a bag and left.

Salinas rushed out of the shop when she noticed that one computer monitor was missing.

Salinas saw the fleeing Royo and shouted “kawatan! kawatan!”

The shout caught the attention of bystanders who then chased the suspect.

Recovered from the suspect’s possession was a Samsung computer monitor worth P5,000, said police./CORRESPONDENT CHITO O. ARAGON
