/ 06:47 AM May 31, 2013

Boxing promoter Rex ‘Wakee’ Salud is planning to stage a World Boxing Organization (WBO) world title bout here in Cebu between two undefeated foreign boxers – WBO bantamweight world champion Paulus Ambunda (20-0, 10 KOs) of Namibia and challenger Tomoki Kameda (27-0, 18 KOs) of Japan.

In an article posted on philboxing.com, Salud said that the venue of the fight will either be at the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino in Lahug or the Hoops Dome in Lapu-Lapu City on August 1.

The Kameda boxing clan have been to Wakee’s gym in Labangon, Cebu City last year, with brothers Koki and Daiki Kameda sparring with the RWS boxers to prepare for their fights in Japan.

Koki is the WBA bantamweight champion while Daiki is a former WBA flyweight champion. Their younger brother Tomoki will be fighting for a world crown for the first time.
