P4-million shabu seized, two women arrested
Packs of suspected shabu with an estimated value of P4 million were seized from two women in barangay Suba, Cebu City.
Police said Liza Tero and Grace Abellana were allegedly involved in selling illegal drugs in Suba and neighboring places.
Supt. Harry Dominggo, deputy chief of the intelligence division of the Police Regional Office in Central Visayas (PRO-7), said they received a tip around 6 p.m. Wednesday that an illegal drug transaction was set to happen in the corner of Garfield and Magsaysay Streets.
Operatives of the Regional Special Operations Group (RSOG) were deployed in the area to asses the tip.
Police arrived in the area around 7 p.m. and it was around 8 p.m. when two women, who were later identified as Tero and Abellana, arrived.
Police said Abellana showed to Tero the contents of a knapsack she was carrying.

Article continues after this advertisementRecovered from Abellana’s possession were eight large packs of suspected shabu while four medium packs were recovered from Tero.
The two women denied that the suspected drugs were seized from their possession, said Domingo.
The suspected drugs weighed around 800 grams with a street value approximately P25,000 and P30,000 for every five grams.
Senior Supt. Samuel Yordan, deputy director for operations of PRO-7, said the two women could be drug carriers.
The two women were detained at the PRO-7 pending the filing of charges against them.
