Sick boy needs P68k for scanning test
This coming school year, Isasiah Suarez who has been battling Hodgkin’s lymphoma since 2009 will be a fourth year high school student.
The whole time he was undergoing six cycles of chemotherapy at Philippine General Hospital, Suarez continued to attend his classes at Silahis ng Kalusugan School, an educational facility inside the hospital compound set up as part of a special education program for patients who want to go on with their studies.
“Doctors want to make sure there are no more lymph nodes left. Everything will depend on the results of the PEP scan test. That’s why I am knocking on the hearts of your readers because he is excited about going to college,” Isasiah’s mother, Matilde Suarez, said.
The single mother who stays with her two children at the house of her widowed mother said they will need P68,000 for the PEP scanning test.
