DSWD trains youths for internship program
THE Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) in Central Visayas is currently training 10 youths in the region for its government internship program, which is expected to end first week of June.
The program also serves as a recruitment mechanism for potential public employees.
Participants will be posted into a manpower reservoir from which DSWD can draw regular workforce.
DSWD can also help provide financial assistance for the youths for their school enrolment.
These ten youths, aged 17-24, assist the different units of DSWD in the region in the implementation of social protection programs.
They will be working for 22 days, receiving a salary of P300 per day.
