A swift and brutal victory was witnessed by fight fans at the jam packed Artemio Masbate Sports Complex in San Remegio after YawYan ArDigma Cebu’s Renan “Limbas” Noblefranca retained his junior lightweight belt via a technical knockout win against Arnel “Ronin X” Ylanan of Project X Cebu in the main event of ‘Bakbakan sa San Remegio-Kickboxing Event’ last Wednesday night.
Noblefranca went for the kill in the first round by bombarding Ylanan with accurate head kicks and one-two punch combinations. Ylanan managed to stand up but Noblefranca knocked him down again a second time, forcing Ylanan’s side to wave the white flag at the 2:25 mark of the opening round.
Noblefranca is set to defend his title again this August in the Ground and Pound MMA series here in Cebu.
Meanwhile, all of the three YawYan ArDigma fighters, aside from Noblefranca, won their respective bouts.
YawYan ArDigma/Fervilleon Manila’s Jordan “Labuyo” Balcita defeated Johnjier “Dangerous” Torbiso of Durex Dragons Kick Boxing Club of Lapu-Lapu city via a TKO.
Balcita was very disappointed after Torbiso quit at the 1:59 mark of the second round. Torbiso was complaining about his right shoulder injury. Balcita was winning the bout before his opponent quit.
Romelo “Buffalo” Esfra finished with a lopsided unanimous victory over Durex Dragons’ Junrey Soquite in their five-round kick boxing bout.
YawYan ArDigma Cebu’s Lemuel “Musang” Maglinte logged his second pro career victory after he disposed Durex Dragons’ Elmer “Striker” Dakay via unanimous decision.

SOMA Fight Club’s ace fighter John Dave Epile logged a unanimous decision win over Durex Dragons’ Axel Torbiso in their three-round showdown. Torbiso’s younger brother, John Edu, also suffered a loss to SOMA’s Joel Regabo via a first-round TKO.
