BOAC, Marinduque — A commotion occurred at the polling precinct here on Monday morning when a voter suffered a heart attack while waiting in line for his turn to vote, the state-run Philippine News Agency reported.

Oscar Villabesa was standing in line waiting to vote at around 8 a.m. in the voting precinct in Barangay (village) Amoingon when he became ill, the report said.

Villabesa was rushed to the Marinduque Provincial Hospital, also in this town, but was declared dead on arrival, said Mayda Lagran, the information officer of PIA-Marinduque, quoting a report from Amoingan barangay captain Ferdinand Mameng.
