Judge orders transfer of Dominguezes
MANILA, Philippines—A judge on Monday ordered the transfer of alleged carjack gang leaders Raymond and Roger Dominguez to the Quezon City Jail following their arraignment two weeks ago.
In open court, Judge Ma. Luisa Q. Padilla of the Quezon City Regional Trial Court Branch 215 issued the commitment order for the transfer of the Dominguez brothers from the Camp Crame custodial center to the city jail.
Their fellow accused, Jason Miranda, was also included in the commitment order.
According to Padilla, the transfer should be carried out immediately.
The Dominguezes and Miranda, along with prospective witness and co-accused Alfred Mendiola, are facing car theft with homicide charges for the death of car dealer Venson Evangelista.
Evangelista was abducted on Jan. 13 and his charred body was found in Cabanatuan City a few days later. Julie M. Aurelio and Hans Joshua Dantes, contributor
