Accident closes one lane on grade level of Skyway

MANILA, Philippines—The authorities closed the ground level of the northbound portion of the Skyway after a trailer truck had an accident on Tuesday morning.

John Lay Paculanang, Skyway security guard, said the wayward truck hit the steel railings of the expressway between the Sucat, Parañaque, and Bicutan, Taguig exits at 8:53 a.m.

Paculanang said one of the truck’s front tires burst, causing the driver to lose control of the vehicle. This blocked the northbound portion of the Skyway at ground level, he said.
