/ 10:33 PM April 25, 2013

DAVAO CITY—Senate aspirant Juan “Jack” Enrile has sought the support of Pastor Apollo Quiboloy, tele-evangelist and founder of the church “Kingdom of Jesus Christ, The Name Above Every Name.”

Quiboloy claims his church has at least six million followers in and outside the country. He also claimed to be the “appointed son of God.”

Enrile met with Quiboloy around 6 p.m. after holding a motorcade around the city on Wednesday afternoon.

After a brief talk inside the Quiboloy-owned Jose Maria College, Enrile also sought an audience with Vice Mayor Rodrigo Duterte, who is running for mayor again.

“I asked to see both Pastor Quiboloy and Vice Mayor Duterte to seek their support and endorsement,” Enrile said.

But the younger Enrile said he did not want to assume he won the support of the “appointed Son of God” or of Davao’s tough-talking vice mayor. “I don’t want to presume,” he said. Germelina Lacorte, Inquirer Mindanao
