/ 11:43 AM April 22, 2013

MANILA, Philippines – One passenger was injured in what police said was a robbery inside a bus in Mandaluyong City early Monday morning.

Details about the injured passenger have yet to be gathered as of press time, but police chief Senior Supt. Florendo Quibuyen said the man was knifed when he refused to yield his belongings to around five men, who had boarded the air-conditioned Miami bus plying Edsa around 4 a.m.

Quibuyen said the five assailants figured in the city’s rogue gallery, but did not give their names yet.

A follow-up operation was ongoing as of press time, he said.
