Grace Poe saves ‘best endorser’ for last in new political ad

CEBU CITY, Philippines — Veteran actress Susan Roces will finally appear in a television advertisement to endorse the senatorial bid of her daughter, Grace Poe.

“I save the one that knows me the best for last,” said Poe, who is running under Team PNoy.

She said her “ultimate” celebrity endorser would be her mom, who would appear with her in a TV ad probably next week in what could be her last political ad before the May 13 elections.

“Yun na lang yung final. Magastos e,” she told Manila-based reporters in an interview here on Friday.

She refused to say the details of the ad but hinted that it would revolve around her personality in the eyes of her mother.

“Syempre sya ang nanay ko alam
nya ang aking pagkatao, kung sino ako,” she said.

Poe sees nothing wrong with showbiz personality endorsing candidates so long as they share the same advocacies.

She cited as example her endorsment by actress Carmina Villaroel, who she said has been supportive of the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board.

Poe used to head to the MTRCB until she decided to run for senator.
