UNA resumes campaign in Laguna
PAGSANJAN, Philippines – Fresh from their break during Holy Week, the United Nationalist Alliance (UNA) on Monday resumed their campaign activities with a motorcade and rally in Laguna.
With campaign jingles blaring from speakers atop various vehicles, UNA’s candidates kicked off its motorcade at past 10 a.m. from Pagsanjan Church and was making its way through Sta. Cruz, Pila, Victoria, Calauan, until it reaches San Pablo City.
But this time it was not only the national candidates who are in the limelight as they were joined by local candidates, including Laguna Governor Jeorge Ejercito-Estregan, who is seeking re-election alongside Dante Amante, a vice governor aspirant.
Ejercito-Estregan is the nephew of former President Joseph Estrada.
Also present was former television reporter Sol Aragones who was running for a congressional seat for the third district of Laguna.
The opposition is expected to arrive in San Pablo City for its rally at 3 p.m.
