UNA rally in Muntinlupa draws 3,000
MANILA, Philippines—A throng of people assembled at a bus terminal in Muntinlupa City Friday, not to ride a bus, but to watch the United Nationalist Alliance’s campaign sortie.
Police estimated the crowd to be around 3,000 who arrived past 3 p.m. at the Alabang Bus Terminal.
Most people were clad in green shirts as their show of support for UNA local candidate, current city Mayor Aldrin San Pedro.
Stage performances and games were held as supporters waited for the UNA bets to arrive from a motorcade along Barangay (village) Cupang earlier Friday.
Among UNA candidates who joined the motorcade with its local bets were Nancy Binay, Congressman Milagros Mitos Magsaysay of Zambales, Ernesto Maceda, and the wife of Senator Miguel Zubiri.
