Woman shot dead by security guard

MANILA, Philippines – A woman was shot to death by a security guard at Philtranco terminal in Cubao Monday morning, police said.

Police Officer 2 Romeo Remando of Cubao police said that based on initial reports,  the incident occurred at around 9a.m.

The suspect, identified as Melodio Tindoy, 28, fled after the incident. He was said to be a former military personnel.

The woman, meanwhile, was identified in her ID as Cristine Tugade but has yet to be verified, Remando said.

He said the woman, who was in her 30s, was asking Tindoy for money to process his papers so he could be reinstated back to service.

The police have not yet established the relationship of the two, Remando said.
