Batch ‘95 drubs Class ‘97 in Cecaba

NEW  Millenium Hardware ‘95 kept its hold of the second spot in the standings as it bested JV Shop ‘N Shop ’97, 64-59, in the Cebu Eastern College Alumni Basketball Association’s 12th Dr. Chen Lieh Fu Memorial Cup last Friday night at the CEC gym.

Donald Anthony Ting had 20 points, five rebounds and two asssists, Dean Dy Teves added 14 points, seven blocks, six rebounds and three steals while Raymond Gollon and Joseph James Yu connived for 16 points, 10 rebounds, four assists and two blocks to power their squad to their ninth win in 10 games.

Aubrey Jones Ibones finished with 16 points, four rebounds and two steals for Class ’97. Timothie Tan banged in 15 points, five rebounds and two steals but couldn’t make a difference as they slipped to even 5-5 (win-loss) card.

In the main game, Kristoffer Dennis Lee posted 22 points on top of four rebounds and the same number of assists as PTT 2005 squeezed though a 60-58 victory over First ACY Shipping Corp. 2006.
