Habal driver killed, 4 hurt in motorcycle-car collision

A “HABAL-HABAL” driver was killed while his four passengers were wounded when the motorcycle they were riding collided with a car in barangay Mohon, Talisay City, southern Cebu at dawn Thursday.

Eleasar Dejos, a resident of barangay Pooc, Talisay, was declared dead when he and his passengers Crisilda Lahindao, 20; Michelle Dinawanao, 25; and John Vincent Abellana, 19; and Baldwin Babor, 22, were brought to a hospital.

Tamidler was detained at the Talisay City police station pending the filing of charges against him, police said.

In Cebu City, a 41-year-old man was killed after he was hit by a motorcycle on Thursday afternoon.

Police asid Nemesio Tojeno was crossing V. Rama Street in barangay Calamba when he was hit by a motorcycle driven by Ril Willington Edano, a resident of barangay Guadalupe, Cebu City.

Paramedics brought the victim to the Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center but did not make it alive.
