Kusug holds off endorsing City Council, Senate bets

After endorsing the reelection bid of major Team Rama candidates, former mayor Alvin Garcia said his political party is still holding off its support to City Council and Senate bets.

Garcia,  the chairman emeritus of Kugi, Uswag Sugbo (Kusug), admitted that some members of their executive board expressed reservation on some City Council bets.

He said they cannot still assure support for the full slate of Team Rama.

Kusug will have another big meeting by April 28 or 29 to announce their endorsement of candidates for councilors and senators.

For the senators, Garcia said, it will most likely be a mixed list.

Garcia also took potshots at mayoralty candidate and incumbenr south district Rep. Tomas Osmeña who called his alliance with Rama as an alliance of losers.

“That does not come as a surprise to us, insulting people has become a nature of Tomas,” Garcia said.
