Aloguinsan money-lender shot dead
A 36-year-old man was shot dead by an unidentified gunman in barangay Bonbon, Aloguinsan town, southwest Cebu.
Victor Tausa suffered two gunshot wounds in the abdomen. The victim died while being treated in a Cebu City hospital.
Police are looking into the possibility that the killing was related to the victim’s money-lending business.
Police said the victim was with his relatives inside his house on Friday night when he heard somebody calling his name.
The victim went out of the house to check. Gunshots rang out.
Relatives later saw the bloodied Tausa sprawled on the ground. They rushed the victim to the Pinamungajan District Hospital and was transferred to Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center in Cebu City where he later died./CORRESPONDENTS GABRIEL C. BONJOC AND JOY CHERRY S. QUITO
